    The Task

    • Develop: Implement a realistic use case using the Myrmic runtime.

    • Execute: Run your application (e.g., on a laptop, Raspberry Pi, nRF5340, ESP32).

What could you build? Your creativity is the only limit. The challenge is open to any domain. Whether you explore home automation, create a resilient digital twin for a factory, or integrate open data for a smart city – we’re excited to see what you come up with!

    How it works

    1. Apply (2 minutes)
    2. Get invited (alpha access + starter kit)
    3. Build & submit (use case demo + short writeup)

Rolling admissions – we will get started in Spring 2026.

    Who it’s for

    Good fit if you…

    • build with Rust, WASM, edge/distributed systems

    • want to test a new runtime on a real workload

    • can ship a small demo within 4 weeks

    Not a fit if you…

    • want a finished, fully-supported enterprise platform today

    • need guaranteed SLA right now

    What you get

    • Exclusive pre-launch access: Alpha runtime access + updates

    • Starter kit: example project + best practices

    • Office hours + direct contact to our core engineering team

    • Visibility: Showcase your skills in building next-generation, resilient systems.

    More Questions?

What do I need to start?

A Rust toolchain and a basic dev environment. No special hardware required for most demos. If your use case needs edge devices, you can prototype locally first.

Developers building with Rust/WASM, edge/distributed systems, IoT runtimes, or anyone who wants to stress-test an early runtime on a real workload. If you’re curious and can share feedback, you’re a fit.

Anything that proves a real use case works:

    • a small demo (repo or binary)

    • a short write-up (what you built, what worked, what didn’t)

We will invite you in our Discord Channel and support you from there.

If you contribute code back to Myrmic, we’ll do it via the project’s normal contribution process and license. If you’re unsure, ask us before you share anything.

Yes. If you’re applying as a team or on behalf of a company, mention it in the form. We’ll route you to the right setup (developer-first, no sales friction).

You will hear from us in Spring and we will tell you some more details. If you don’t hear back, email us at contact@peeriot.io and we’ll fix it.
